Description/Job Summary

The overall purpose of this position, i.e., what it accomplishes at Perdue and/or why it exists is: The essential purpose of a SPC checker is to accurately perform verification of compliance to all Perdue and USDA regulatory requirements.

Hours of Work:

Wed-Sat: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Wed-Sat 7:00 PM- 5:30AM

Sun-Tue: 5:00AM – 5:00PM

Required Skills

Set up lines and prepare for shift start.

Verify and record Thermometer calibration.

Verify and record WPL and case scale calibration.

Verify all inbound and outbound product meets Perdue product specifications.

Perform and record tray and case weight verification throughout production shift.

Review all WPL line checks for sell-by, label, and customer compliance.

Perform and record tray temperatures throughout production shift.

Maintain a safe and clean work area.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Describe the decision-making authority of this position, the nature and extent of supervision available and the point at which higher approval is required:

Using basic reading, writing, and analytical skills must be able to comprehend and follow SOP’s. Supervisors and Leads are available for items not covered in normal operations. Higher approval is required for any deviations from SOP.

The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: Must wear mandatory personal protective equipment. Work in temperatures consistently between 28° F and 50 F, with ambient high humidity and noise levels up to

98 DB. 12-inch lift at waist level, some bending. Lifting and sliding 35 to 65lbs. Continual standing 12 plus hours per shift on anti-fatigue mats.
