Position Profile: The Hot Shop Operations Supervisor is responsible for achieving short and long term goal objectives for Hot Operations. This position is a multi-dimensional role that requires one to be tactical in producing our parts safely, while maintaining high quality levels and low cost.
Essential Functions: This is a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities, and is not all inclusive. Incumbent(s) may and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
Teaching operators to successfully achieve the skill level necessary to produce products that meet dimensional characteristics at the necessary productivity level to achieve financial cost targets.
Building teams that consistently achieve daily production objectives: Throughput, Inventory, and Operating Expense
Maintaining 100% part traceability in all areas of responsibility.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules of various mills, lathes, water jet and white light inspection.
Maintain proper documentation for employee records to include: performance plans, training matrixes, disciplinary documentation, and incident reports.
Supporting compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies; this involves developing, tracking and maintaining production standards for safety, efficiencies, part quality, and housekeeping (5S).
Performing general administrative duties such as timecards, absentee reporting, accident reports
Often required to wear common Protective or Safety Equipment such as Safety Shoes, Glasses, Gloves, Hearing Protection, Hard Hats.
Continuously required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Minimum Years of Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
2 years CNC operations
5 years of experience in a supervisory role
A high degree of working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
Minimum Education Required:
High School or GED
Minimum Travel Required:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing
