The Machining Operations Manager is required to lead the day to day operations of Arconic Engines Savannah Operations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and leading a team that includes Supervisors, Machinists, Programmers and Engineers.
Some of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and lead a team capable of sustained operational success.
Install an environment of empowerment and accountability.
Drive a culture of safety, continuous improvement and ownership.
Shipment of products in accordance with customer requirements, free of damage, with all required documentation.
Interprets company policies and procedures for employees and enforces consistency
Develops and implements measures to improve Machining Operations, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists team members in solving work problems.
Initiates or suggests plans to motivate direct reports and team members to achieve work goals.
Collaborates with other managers to coordinate activities of individual departments.
Adheres to and promotes all company safety rules and requirements and attends required training and/or meetings.
Must have an understanding and knowledge of company procedures and work Instructions. #LI-FS1
Minimum Years of Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
5 years in a Machining environment.
Experience working with G-Code
Experience working within an Automation environment.
Minimum Education Required:
Minimum Travel Required:
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Minimum of 5 years of working within a manufacturing environment.
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience with direct reports.
